Welcome to the First Part of the Final Head of Hogwarts Competition!
The winner of this challenge will automatically move on to Part 3, while the losers will compete in Part 2 for a spot in Part 3.
This challenge is called Cherry Spin.
You will all stand on a giant cherry which is spinning around in circles. Every minute, it changes the direction it is spinning.
In your Diary Room, create two threads - one called 'Clockwise' and one called 'Anti-Clockwise' - you can create the threads before you start the challenge.
To start, post in the Clockwise thread: *(Houseguest) begins spinning*
Then, in the next minute, post in the Anti-Clockwise thread: *(Houseguest) stays balanced on the cherry*
Then, in the next minute, post in the Clockwise thread: *(Houseguest) stays balanced on the cherry*
And so on, and so forth.
So for example, if I were doing the challenge and started at 9:34pm, my posts should go:
9:34pm - *Minerva begins spinning* (CLOCKWISE)
9:35pm - *Minerva stays balanced on the cherry* (ANTI-CLOCKWISE)
9:36pm - *Minerva stays balanced on the cherry* (CLOCKWISE)
9:37pm - *Minerva stays balanced on the cherry* (ANTI-CLOCKWISE)
9:38pm - *Minerva stays balanced on the cherry* (CLOCKWISE)
9:39pm - *Minerva stays balanced on the cherry* (ANTI-CLOCKWISE)
9:40pm - *Minerva stays balanced on the cherry* (CLOCKWISE)
etc.
Notes:
-If you post in the wrong thread, you will fall.
-If you post too early in a thread, you will fall.
-If you edit or delete a post in either thread, you will fall.
-If you delete either thread for any reason, you will fall.
You only have one shot at it and whoever stays on the longest will win Part 1.
Houseguests, you have 24 hours to START the challenge - you may continue going after that time if you haven't fallen yet.
I know it's Thanksgiving time in the United States, but as we don't have any Americans in the Final Three, I think we should be fine to avoid any delays - if you do need more time due to the time of year though, just let me know.
