The format of the game follows the format of US Big Brother, with some twists and turns along the way. Rules in relation to the game itself mirror the CBS Big Brother series, but here are some game-specific details.
1. Please respect your fellow houseguests and the host.
2. The challenges featured throughout the game will be of a large variety. Most challenges are non-live and are set with a 24-hour deadline. Occasionally there may be live competitions which will be scheduled in advance or semi-live competitions which require houseguests to meet up with the host to complete.
3. If you are going away for a period of time, let the host (and preferably other players) know and leave a voting list of all remaining houseguests.
4. If you are inactive without prior notification, such as not completing a challenge or not voting, I will hit you with a curse. If I hit you with three curses, you will drop dead. If you fail to vote, you will also be ineligible to compete in the next Head of Hogwarts competition.
5. Write at least one substantial Diary Room entry per week. When I say 'substantial', it doesn't need to be pages long, but one sentence won't be considered substantial. I intend to write up episodes after the game, but I can only do so if I have sufficient material provided by the players! Anybody who has not written one substantial Diary Room entry in any given week will be ineligible to participate in the next Head of Hogwarts competition.
