Pre-HOH Challenge:
After completely embarrassing myself in the first Head of Hogwarts competition, I've decided to try and emerge from my shell a bit. I really don't want to wind up going home early and disappointing myself, so I'm going to have to really step it up and do my best!
I'm actually pretty upset with Aaryn for sending Britney home. Britney was far more talkative than either of the other nominees, and she wanted to be here very badly. When we have four people who can't be bothered to vote, it's pretty frustrating to see that kind of thing happen. Plus, even though I'm sure houses didn't really play into it, I was disappointed to see Ravenclaw get stuck down first. If it does become a House-based decision-making system, that means that Sirius and Derrick and I are sure to be in trouble sooner rather than later.
Post-Hoh Challenge:
Well, that worked out pretty nicely, didn't it?
I tend to get looked down upon for my encyclopedic knowledge of spells and my linguistic prowess, so I'm thrilled that Hogwarts has finally rewarded me for my studiousness. Plus, after my embarrassing Petrificus Totalis mishap last round, I think that this was a nice way to prove that I'm here and ready to play. Of course, being Head of Hogwarts is a big decision, and I'm not really sure how to go about it. I haven't met half of these people, and I don't really know what they're thinking or feeling, so I'll probably play it safe and nominate people who don't seem to be putting in tremendous amounts of effort. No point causing waves if I don't have to; Muggles get terrified so easily.
Post-Veto Challenge:
I considered throwing the Veto challenge, but in retrospect I decided I should try to win it. I reasoned that most people would assume that the high-point bombs would get taken, and concentrate their efforts on lower-scoring ones. Logically, that means that the bombs that are most likely to get taken won't be. And, sure enough, I was right!
Good thing, too. I know that there's a distinct possibility that people could take a look at my margin of victory in the HOH competition and earmark me as a severe threat, so winning the Veto was a good way of intimidating them. After all, we live in a world of jealousy, so now if someone decides to come after me, they'll have to be very afraid that I'll win the Veto power and stop that from happening. As Dolores Umbridge learned on the day I let her get carried off for a night of horrible centaur rape, you do not mess with Hermione Granger. Ever.
